Haynes Academy Wins First Place in State Social Studies Competition

The National Finals will be held on April 22-25 at the University of Maryland.

Several district high schools participated in the Louisiana We the People competition held recently in Baton Rouge. Haynes Academy took home first place overall and will be traveling to the national event in Washington, D.C.

Jefferson Parish Public School System was also represented by teams from Helen Cox and John Ehret, who received trophies for excellence in various categories.
